What We’ve Done

Previous Projects

Blossom Watch 2023

We were invited by the National Trust to deliver paper flower workshops at a Blossom Watch event in Selly Oak park. We made flowers with people of all ages who came together for a community fun day in the park.

Annual Eggventure

A spring themed surprise that pops up at 6am, and asked participants to help find a rabbit’s eggs that they had dropped. Participants scoured the local area to spot the hand painted, ceramic eggs some of which were placed near items of the local interest – such as the local history board.

Love Stirchley 2022

Supported by Birmingham City Council’s welcome back fund, Love Stirchley connected people with businesses on the local high street. We created an installation on Stirchley High Street showcasing answers to a questionnaire of why people loved their local area, and decorated the length of the high street with origami hearts.

Blanket of Snow (2022)

A community project that explored how we are all individuals who create a patchwork community of a whole. People of B30 decorated fabric hexagons that were turned into a large community quilt, using English Paper Piecing techniques and explored the complex history of quilting.

The Valentine’s Tree (2019+)

When the world is still very grey, we decorate the centre of the high street with origami hearts. These hearts appear in the night for everyone to enjoy as they face the morning. They only last the day, or until the origami heart fairies remember to take them down.

Stirchley Snowflake Festival (2020+)

A celebration of community and creativity for everyone. We distributed blank snowflakes and stars to be decorated and hung on the high street, and created a snowflake trail with the support of people decorating their homes for the winter.

Future Parks Consultation (2021)

We were commissioned by Birmingham Open Spaces Forum to ask young people how they used their green spaces and what they wanted from them moving forward, we used creative consultation tools that allowed young people of all ages to let their voice be heard.

Stirchley Dreams (2019)

What do people want to see in Stirchley? This was the question posed to residence in this small scale creative consultation. Residents were asked to pin their hopes and dreams onto dream catchers in community areas and businesses across the high street.
